Fractures

Whether you are recovering from a fracture of your arm, your leg, spine, or foot, it can be a painful experience.  Your recovery will likely begin with nothing more than rest for an initial 6-8 wks and can involve a cast, splint, or sling assisting your recovery.  Once your doctor has determined that the fracture is stable, you can begin Physical Therapy.  In some cases, this may be as soon as an x-ray is taken.  ( i.e a vertebral compression fracture of the spine).  In any case, your initial visits can be anticipated to involve gentle range of motion, muscle and myofascial massage and integrated exercises which will help your swelling, inflammation, and pain.  It will be a gradual recovery over the next 4 -16 wks and keep in mind that everybody recovers differently and at different paces.  With our experienced knowledge you can be assured that you will be in good hands and we will work within your abilities.  We are here to assist you in making your recovery as easy and painless as possible.
